Getting an account
Birch Pro accounts are set up by a Birch Co administrator — there is no public sign-up.
If you are a client or subcontractor on a Birch Co project and need access, contact your
project manager, or email the address above and we'll arrange it.
Common questions
- I can't sign in.
- Check that you're using the email address the invitation was sent to. If you've
forgotten your password, use the reset link on the sign-in screen, or email us.
- The app opens to a "Can't reach Birch Pro" screen.
- That means the device has no working connection to our servers. Check your signal or
Wi-Fi and tap Try again. If it persists on a good connection, let us know.
- It says I have no projects assigned.
- Your account exists but hasn't been granted access to a project yet. Your project
manager can assign it.
- I can't attach a photo.
- iOS needs permission first. Open Settings ▸ Birch Pro and enable Camera and
Photos, then try again.
- How do I delete my account?
- Email us at the address above, or ask your Birch Co administrator. We'll deactivate the
account and remove the personal information associated with it.
Reporting content and blocking someone
Birch Pro lets the people on a job talk to each other — direct messages, job updates and
comments. If someone posts or sends something objectionable, you can act on it yourself,
from inside the app, without waiting for us.
- Report a message, a post or a comment
- Messages carry a small flag (⚑) beside the time; job updates and comments have one
under the ⋯ menu. Pick a reason, add anything we should know, and send it.
The author is not told who reported them.
- Block someone
- Open the conversation and tap ⋯ ▸ Block, or use the ⋯
menu on any job update. Blocking is immediate and works both ways: neither of you can
message the other, and neither of you sees the other's job updates or comments. Manage or
undo it any time under Your profile ▸ Blocked people.
Our commitment: a Birch Co administrator reviews every report within
24 hours and removes content that breaches these rules. We may also deactivate the account
responsible, which ends their access to Birch Pro entirely. Report something urgent
directly to joshcox@thebirchco.com.
What isn't allowed
Birch Pro is a working tool for a construction project. Do not use it to post or send:
- Harassment, bullying or personal abuse
- Hate speech, or content attacking someone for who they are
- Sexual or explicit material
- Threats of violence, or content encouraging harm
- Spam, scams or attempts to defraud anyone on a job
- Anything unlawful, or anyone else's material you have no right to share
Accounts are issued by name to a person working on a specific project, and we act on
breaches accordingly.
